Overall Satisfaction with ActivTrak
We use ActivTrak as a way to see what percentage of our employees time is being spent doing productive vs unproductive activies (ie work related vs personal internet usage). Since we are a hybrid workforce, we also use it as a secondary tool to check working hours, as well as breaks.
Pros
- Custom groups, so you can define departments.
- Classifications, which can be tailored to what is productive and not based on department
- Live reports so you can see who is active or not
Cons
- Updating the billing information so it is on the interface. There's no way to get invoices or change payment methods on our own, we have to contact a sales rep to do so.
- When a customer gets rid of a license, prorate the unused portion of it (we get charged for upgrading).
- Using ActivTrak has had neither a positive or negative impact on our overall business objectives.
- Live reports, being able to see the time spent doing productive vs non productive activities, as well as when breaks were taken.
Pre-Covid, we were a 100% in the office company, as we shifted to a hybrid work environment ActivTrak has enabled us to maintain the same level of productivity by letting our employees know that their computer does have ActivTrak installed. Employees are allowed to work at their leisure, but we do want to make sure that the same level of productivity is maintained, whether in office or working from home.
