Overall Satisfaction with Absorb LMS
We use Absorb to distribute training to our internal employees, as well as to distribute product training to our client base.
Absorb is a fully functional LMS for our employees, but truly shines when it comes to our needed support for our client training.
Here, Absorb allows us to customize the messaging and training distributed to various segments of our client base. Our client-facing training takes the form of videos, PDF's, quizzes, and SCORM or TinCan files, all of which Absorb handles with ease and provides accurate tracking for. We offer a variety of free and paid training, with custom pricing for some of our larger clients. Absorb's eCommerce features are robust and allow us to meet all of these needs with minimal manual manipulation.

- Up-time. (We have never experienced an outage that impacted us or our clients.)
- Tracking and reporting.
- Customization of the platform by Department
- eCommerce
- Zoom integration can sometimes be a bit wonky (and auto-course attendance does not seem to work consistently, but our application with clients is unique)
- The admin interface could use a UX redesign - It's not quite as pretty or as self-explanatory as the learner interface
- By streamlining the process of creating and logging into learner accounts for clients, we've increased client LMS utilization by over 300% in the 12 months following implementation.
- By using automations for things like user creation and course assignments for new hires, we've cut the time we spend on LMS administration in over half (despite the increased utilization)
- Intelligent Recommendations
- eCommerce
eCommerce has streamlined the purchase process for courses, making it easier to enroll clients into our paid course offerings. Coupon codes make it easy for us to track lead generation sources for our sales. And we utilize the department-specific pricing to help us honor any specifically negotiated course prices without additional manual processes.
Our organization previously used LMS365, which did not support eCommerce and had difficulties supporting external users. (My understanding is the issues with external users may have been directly related to our Microsoft implementation and not directly LMS365's fault, but it was nonetheless a deal breaker for us.)
Docebo was the runner up in our LMS selection process and I spent significant time chatting with the team at Docebo. It seemed like a strong competitor to Aborb. Ultimately, Absorb was both slightly more cost-efficient for our scenario.
