What TrustRadius Research Says
ZipRecruiter Pricing 2022
The hiring process is a several months long headache of paperwork and interviews that neither job seekers or human resources enjoy. You want a recruitment platform that gives functionality and ease of use while actually meeting your hiring needs.
ZipRecruiter.com is a popular job board where you can find some of the best candidates on the job search. They have fantastic, targeted features to help you find qualified candidates in a short period of time.
All About ZipRecruiter
ZipRecruiter is an online platform where employers can post job listings for open positions and navigate through resumes to find their preferred candidates. When you post a job on their platform, it’s sent to 100 other job boards. You are notified of candidate applications with email alerts.
ZipRecruiter also uses their AI to find the perfect candidates for your job ad and invites them to apply to your job posting. This way job openings get filled in real-time, with most companies on ZipRecruiter finding their ideal candidates on the first day. You can also do your own search for candidates in their resume database, available in Premium and Pro subscriptions.
ZipRecruiter is definitely a great software for finding applicants, but what are their pricing options?
How Much Does ZipRecruiter Cost?
ZipRecruiter does not offer any upfront pricing with their plans. This choice was made because they want to customize plans for each company's hiring needs. ZipRecruiter plans can be as low as $299 a month. They tailor subscriptions based on multiple factors such as number of job ads posted, amount of resume downloads, industry, etc.

All plans also come with ZipRecruiter’s smart hiring features, designed to streamline the hiring workflow. These features include templates for job descriptions, AI for finding quality candidates, and time-saving screening questions.
They also give you customer support, mobile app access, and flexible job slots. Flexible job slots make it so if you find the right candidate you can close the job ad right away and even replace it with a new job in the same slot.
ZipRecruiter is not the only platform where you can post jobs. There are other sites with similar flexibility.
ZipRecruiter vs Indeed
Indeed is another incredibly popular job board site like ZipRecruiter. Indeed does not have specific price plans. Instead you pay per engagement for each job post, with the lowest job posting being $5 a day. You are only charged when candidates interact with your listing. You can also connect with candidates using job alerts. This works similarly to ZipRecruiter’s email alerts, but without automated AI matching.
Indeed does not charge per job post, but terms and conditions still apply to content of the post. On their terms and conditions page you will find information about targeted ads, hiring events and hiring platform agreements. If your team isn’t aware of the laws you need to abide by for hiring practices see the hiring platform agreement section.
Indeed’s looser pricing structure offers similar flexibility to ZipRecruiter’s flexible job slots. Once you’ve found your match, you can simply cancel anytime.
You can also sign up for Indeed Resume, where you can access an entire database of candidates and contact who you prefer. Indeed Resume plans are subscription-based, with two tiers: Standard for $100/month and Professional for $250/month.
Because neither platform has a set flat rate, it’s hard to say who is more affordable. On top of that, both platforms offer flexibility and the ability to immediately cancel a job ad. ZipRecruiter has a series of powerful features, while Indeed does not offer an extensive feature list.
ZipRecruiter will still be better for companies that want to automate their job search, while Indeed has a separate service for more hands-on hiring teams. Indeed will definitely be helpful for users that don’t want to pay a monthly fee and would rather pay per engagement.
One free option is to simply post contact info on your social media or LinkedIn so interested parties can send you their resume directly. This is the better option for small businesses that don’t want to make room in their budget for ZipRecruiter or Indeed. It’s also great for company sizes that can’t handle a deluge of 500 resumes from a job board.
The job market is very competitive, and you could get more resumes than expected on a public platform like ZipRecruiter. On ZipRecruiter, you also pay for resumes downloaded, so it’s something worth considering before you post a job.
