Bang for your buck security product for small businesses
- Easy to install with the AV client
- managed from a web page
- good choice of URL categories for blocking
- No discount for using both the AV and the DNS filtering
- Redirection is pretty slow
- As Webroot is a company that caters to the SMB and customers looking for a cheap solution, the threat protection is not that great compared to some of its competitors
If you are an MSP, this is an easy product to sell, and requires very little maintenance. you do need to monitor it but it runs itself most of the time.
If you are a customer with >50 users, you should really be looking for a product that is a bit higher up the food chain.
- Managed from the same GUI as the AV client
- Bypass is a bit better designed than some competitors
- Logging is found in the Web GUI and is fairly intuitive
- MSP dashboard is a nice bonus
- Much reduced time spent on malware issues at small business customers
- Slightly increased revenue as this fills a space that didn't used to exist in our stack
- Customers satisfaction went up due to the added ability to block certain content quickly and easily

To use Webroot DNS Protection in an organisation at the most basic implementation level, an administrator would first need to some configuration with the Webroot product on the organisation's DNS server. This could be done by changing the DNS server settings to point to Webroot's DNS servers, or by configuring a DNS forwarder to forward requests to Webroot's servers.
