I think it’s a good tool for a sales team to use, but I think the intuitiveness of it can be a downside. It should open up to the previous month in my opinion vs the next one because it will usually be blank unless you’re at the end of the quarter.

Spiff can serve well organizations that regularly pay OTE and performance-based incentives as it takes away the pain for users to track their OTE pay. It is also very convenient to access past reports for comparison or whatever purpose you may need it for. The build-in ticketing system also allows users to easily raise inquiries and for admins to have a single inbox for inquiries that they need to address.

It’s simple to use and works with what we need it for. Moving away from chaotic spreadsheets and manual processes has been such a relief. It also allows us to get better insights into our compensation cycle and ensure that any mistakes are ironed out in a timely manner. It’s highly efficient.

The biggest thing I've noticed that it really helps me is when it comes to getting into my accelerator territory once I've achieved plan. It's easy to keep up where I'm at from a quota perspective but the payout for accelerators is very specific. For example, if I split a few deals with other reps throughout the year, it helps me keep track of when those accelerators would truly kick in.

While performing in the day to day functions of the job in the market, SPIFF has been crucial to our team success and knowing what areas we need to hunt in. Pin pointing focus in certain areas to help make up for under performing accounts and turning attention to them.

Spiff is well suited for a company that has complex commission structure (e.g tier-based + extra kickers) and that is growing. The reason is because its functionalities allow us to create logic or formulas that are quite flexible and able to accommodate any change in the commission calculations and enable admins to filter the data with sets of logic that Spiff feeds from without having to change the data in the original source.

It is really well suited to quickly show you how much you are getting paid on your commissions. I don't know if they offer additional spiff management, for blitz days or anything like that, but that would be cool too. It just makes it a little easier to find out payment amounts and schedules in a singular place.

Well suited to see the performance executive wise on regular basis. Also the team lead can see the amount of incentive /commission the team members will be receiving.
Correct data related to the number of accounts that have been added to the salesforce in a particular month or quarter can be seen.

In my experience with Spiff so far, it has been helpful to see the breakdown of commissions by individual sale. It also easily breaks down subcategories (such as professional services which is a different calculation than SaaS). I love the ability to quickly go back to previous months to be able to cross reference with my own records of what has been recorded within each month.

Overall, I think for folks in a commissioned sales role, this tool is quite helpful. It allows you understand if and how you are meeting your monetary goals. If you are not, how can you push yourself to get there and what do the deal sizes need to be in order to get there?

Spiff works great as our commission management platform. We have 10-20 sales reps so not sure how it scales beyond that but for us, it works great! Their support staff are super helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend using / implementing Spiff. It has streamlined our commission reporting and made my job easier.
