SAP Business Network - Needs improvements.
It has enabled us to send things to trading partners (such as performance surveys and our requests for proposals). It has helped, but feedback from trading partners is that it is not user-friendly.
SAP Business network enables to reflect supply chain processes in digital system and acompanies almost all areas such as procurement, planning, warehouesing, manufacturing, Supply, it is also possible to plan, trace components back through the supply chain. Convinient to use because of the variety of transactions. Also communication through the system internally and externally is possible. Automated notifications and alerst are possible. Collaboration acrosse teams is possible and processes can be managed efficiently.

SAP Business Network 4L GTT with p44 - yet in maturity stage
We collaborate by exchanging delivery information for the sake of receiving close real-time shipment milestones. We also collaborate by exchanging shipment documents with our 3PL. So far there has not been a solution to harmonize these different communication types with the same partners in one technical way as milestones are always routed via p44 where document exchange requires a direct integration on SAP Business Network for Logistics.

SAP a Super application!
Yes it help us a lot on collaboration with trading partner. Our trading partner give orders to our marketing team based on that order marketing team generate PO(process order) in SAP. As soon as PO is generated production team at plant start working on manufacturing of product all batch manufacturing related transaction is done in SAP. And our marketing team can keep a eye of batch manufacturing as soon as batch is manufactured it is released in SAP and dispatch to customers. SAP has made everting possible for us.

SAP Business Network : A new Ecosystem & Collaboration Platform
Since we are not directly using SAP Business Network and instead implementing it and providing consulting services I cannot comment on this. However I hear positive feedbacks very often from our clients. They usually highlight the fact that it improves the experience especially for the end users using SAP for procurement process because the legacy applications usually lacks the UX.
As a construction and development company, we use SAP Business Network to foster seamless collaboration with our trading partners, including suppliers and subcontractors. The platform has enabled more efficient and transparent communication by facilitating real-time information sharing, enhancing visibility into project timelines, and ensuring effective resource management. With improved coordination and streamlined workflows, SAP Business Network has effectively strengthened our relationships with trading partners, ultimately leading to enhanced operational efficiency and better project outcomes.

Nice approach but still a long road to go
Due to the current solution. in my opinion, I cannot see more efficiency and an effective collaboration with my organization‘s vendors. The complains from the vendors increased during the last years and business partners tried to avoid registration in SAP Business Network. Nevertheless, SAP Business Network provides opportunities with regard to automation of processes in cooperation with IT advanced suppliers.

We receive Sourcing Event and respond to them over the network, as well as then afterwards transaction through this channel. This works great, however, particularly the RFP phase and the onboarding could be tied together better, because we feel that is not always the most slick process.

Supplier on the SBN
As a supplier we follow our customers on the various procurement solutions - so the SAP Business Network is a necessity but at the same time a speed up fact to delivery. As user on the Supplier Portal we drive better integration and faster connection to our suppliers.
