- Oracle ERP cloud is a well integrated system for PPM, supply chain, procurement with AP and AR modules. Setup and maintenance acts as a one stop place for all our setup needs.
- BPM workflows are pretty cool when configured properly and the notifications are simply awesome and lets us set delegate options during vacation. Approval workflows with alerts on the dashboard and via email helps managers to keep on top of their approval workflows.
- Oracle ERP cloud is diversified, that makes it more robust and user friendly
- Exception reports especially on the PPM module do not provide project details. This makes it difficult to troubleshoot issues at the project level
- OTBI custom role creation is highly cumbersome and is not user friendly. Granting users read only access is heavily implementer dependent rather than making IT self sufficient
- Some of the ESS jobs that end in error do not provide an option to attach error logs as attachment during notification
- Expense reporting is cumbersome without voice activation. But voice activation is costly.
- ROI was almost immediate. It eliminated the need for IT to maintain and backup. It removed the need for a dedicated resource to take care of any infrastructure needs
- The system is autonomous and self healing with minimal or no interruption, this gives more business time than maintenance time
- On the other hand, lack of access to backend tables makes the makes it difficult to get access to error logs in an elaborate manner
- OTBI repository access is not available anymore which makes the developers at the mercy of oracle releases for custom development or needs

Configuration can be exported easily from one instance to another, saving time and effort. Rapid implementation spreadsheets are a god send. Chart of accounts, lookup, flexfields, list of values can be uploaded with a spread sheet, via prebuilt rapid implementation spreadsheets.
a) Get your users trained on the application, so that they will understand the nitty gritty of the application.
b) Hire experienced people who implemented the application, atleast couple of times before.
c) Involve the business users right from the begining, so that business users work hand in hand with implementation team and give continuous feedback.
d) Make an effort to migrate cleansed data.
Approvals are flexible and can be routed in different ways. Subledger accounting rules are available where, accounting rules can be defined to satisfy various accounting conventions.In summary, with personalizations, descriptive flexfields, subledger accounting rules, Business process management worklist most business situations can be handled without extensive customizations.

Oracle has lots of features, however the trouble is many customers do not know about it. Oracle has to do more in disseminating the information.
- The dashboards on the landing page are god send. It gives all the important metrics at one place.
- The approval notifications shows up on the landing page. They can be approved or rejected with a single click.
- The collaboration tool is great. All the communication, attachments are saved for audit trail.
- Allocations in general ledger are difficult.
- we would like to have alerts which were available in Oracle E Business Suite.
Oracle is the only major company which has platform as a service, database as a service and software as a service product offerings on the cloud.Hence customers can rely on Oracle as many major fortune 500 companies do.
