Indeed Hiring Platform
Chose Indeed Hiring Platform
Indeed just has an incredibly larger audience to reach out to as well as such a simple and easier to use interface. I still use sites like ZipRecruiter and LinkedIn Jobs on the side, but I still find that the Indeed Hiring Platform is the most successful at finding me a large …
Chose Indeed Hiring Platform
I have been to and coordinated many hiring events and job fairs over the years; this is the most efficient funnel I've been able to find. Over the course of 3 events, we interviewed over 200 people and made 65 hires, exceeding our goal.
Chose Indeed Hiring Platform
With Indeed Hiring Platform we are more prepared for job fairs. The search option has not been that strong. Applicants are just not responding and some, when they do, ghost you. The other platforms are more like fishing nets whereas Indeed lets us bait easier.
Chose Indeed Hiring Platform
DICE requires upfront costs for a specific set of postings for the whole year. The pricing is not flexible and our experience is that IT consultants aren't using DICE as much as they used to. We only used LinkedIn a little, but the costs and pricing flexibility also do not …
Chose Indeed Hiring Platform
Overall, LinkedIn has brought us more candidates. Indeed has its place in our portfolio based on level and function of the position.
Chose Indeed Hiring Platform
We chose Indeed Hiring Platform because it offers the largest amount of potential candidates. Briefly have tried other services such as ZipRecruiter, LinkedIn, CareerBuilder, Monster, etc. but Indeed Hiring Platform has always given us the most applicants. There are a lot of …
Chose Indeed Hiring Platform
Indeed is easy to understand and more organized. More Indeed users respond as opposed to users on other platforms.
Chose Indeed Hiring Platform
Indeed, by virtue of the size of its resume database, is the Industry leader. There is no greater platform on the market, currently, that attracts as much talent and produces as many candidates. I have taken sales calls from many alternative hiring platforms and they are all …
Chose Indeed Hiring Platform
It has a huge pool of applicants to pull from with different levels of experience; starting from entry-level to exempt. Something we can use all around for our company.
Chose Indeed Hiring Platform
I haven't had any experience with other platforms yet. We are trying out an in-person event to see how that works.
Chose Indeed Hiring Platform
Indeed is the easiest to use and navigate through.
Chose Indeed Hiring Platform
The fact that I can schedule an event with the Indeed Hiring Platform is key for some of my roles. It allows us to get the Microchip name out there and we can meet with people from all walks of life and see how their personal experiences could benefit Microchip. I think it is …
Chose Indeed Hiring Platform
Handshake is the best platform to target students or recent alumni.
Indeed should have some kind of school or alumni resume banks.
Chose Indeed Hiring Platform
They are fairly the same, but I prefer indeed because of the amount of responses we've received as opposed to LinkedIn.
Chose Indeed Hiring Platform
Indeed definitely offers more qualified candidates that are ready to work, however, LinkedIn provides more fields to tailor searches to meet my needs.
Chose Indeed Hiring Platform
Indeed allows me more control over the platform than other products have allowed. I can tailor Indeed to my needs.
Chose Indeed Hiring Platform
Indeed is the best for finding entry-level candidates or candidates for jobs that don't require advanced degrees. The amount of candidates that use Indeed to look for these types of jobs is overwhelmingly amazing. Indeed is the most user-friendly platform for recruitment and …
Chose Indeed Hiring Platform
I personally prefer Indeed Hiring Platform over ZipRecruiter because I feel like I have more control over my budget and I feel the tech support is far superior as well. My Indeed Hiring Platform rep is terrific about showing me data about how my jobs are performing and is …
Chose Indeed Hiring Platform
Live chat and video options are great features we took advantage of while we worked from home. We prefer the Indeed options over Linkedin. The UI could be a little more friendly. We will continue to use Indeed moving forward over other platforms that we used in the past. No …
Chose Indeed Hiring Platform
Indeed was in place at my company prior to my arrival. I evaluated other systems to compare against Indeed, and for our company’s needs, the free offerings through Indeed Hiring are the best value. We would not consider Jobvite, and the other systems would be a more traditional …
LinkedIn Jobs
Chose LinkedIn Jobs
LinkedIn Jobs is comparable to indeed in regards to communication and tools. I believe that Indeed provides a more diverse and inclusive pool of candidates by eliminating such personal information being shared with recruiters. I will consistently use LinkedIn Jobs for …
Chose LinkedIn Jobs
Indeed is simply a blind job posting board whereas LinkedIn Jobs has more transparency. LinkedIn is also better suited for professionals who may be looking for higher earning potential jobs whereas Indeed does have a lot of entry level followers tied to it. LinkedIn also …

I can't think of any reason why anybody looking for a job opportunity would not be involved with LinkedIn Jobs. It's one of the more active social media job sites and if you are active on LinkedIn (which you should be) you have a great opportunity to show your achievements and talent to job posters. The "Easy Apply" link, although great for companies hiring large groups of people may not be for somebody who is looking for a specialized role as that would take a more personal approach.

Pros
Indeed
  • The set-up of the event asks for important details to maximize the effectiveness of the event, but is also very simple.
  • The opportunity for you to create more personal connections with each candidate, while also providing a virtual hiring experience.
  • The actual hiring event platform that is utilized during the execution of the event is simple, user-friendly, and aesthetically pleasing.

  • The job offers board is one of the things that stands out most positively on LinkedIn Jobs, since I can know all the job offers that are open for all sectors of my company and I can also see the candidates that are in each offer of employment.
  • Interview scheduling is one of the best features of LinkedIn Jobs. It allows you to schedule exact time and exact day for face-to-face meetings in order to carry out a more consolidated interview, in addition, it sends notifications to the candidate so that they can appear for the interview at the right time.
  • I can have access to the CV of each candidate. LinkedIn Jobs offers me a very detailed CV of each of the candidates and this allows me to quickly know the qualities that each candidate has.
  • I can handle job applications much better. It was a very tedious job when we did this manually and we did a lot of paperwork to organize the received requests. LinkedIn Jobs has made that manual work is avoided, thanks to the automated system to organize the requests.

Cons
Indeed
  • Although we have a sponsored jobs agreement, so candidates are directed to our website to apply, I have heard recruiters say the old view to where you can see the candidates that applied through Indeed is helpful.
  • Disabling job posting permissions from certain users would be helpful. Only admin should be able to post jobs (that aren't free). It would help better manage our invoicing and billing with Indeed.

  • We have found to get the reach that we want, LinkedIn Jobs has been an expensive endeavor. The free postings do not get very far on LinkedIn Jobs.
  • For Large scale hired, LinkedIn Jobs is not beneficial at all. It does not do a good job at keeping a large influx of candidates coming through.
  • Some of the candidates end up being in other locations and therefore some have been unwilling to relocate or to fulfill job descriptions. In some ways, the wide reach works to a disadvantage when reaching candidates that do not even realize where the position is located. LinkedIn Jobs needs to do a better job with location based searches.

Indeed
Indeed is great because it seems like a lot of IT consultants and IT resources use it to find new opportunities. The platform is continuously innovating and the price can be reasonable if managed actively and properly when setting up the job posting. I don't give it a 10 because the method of promoting your posting and their cost per applicant value is NOT transparent at all. It is dynamic according to market conditions which we have to assume is in the favor of the company making money and NOT serving us as customers. But maybe we are being too cynical? We say this because their search feature to find our posting and our company information from the candidate's side is suprisingly not very good. Why does only exact match searches work vs returning posts or company information if the candidate does NOT have the exact matching words. That is not how most search tools/engines work. They return the most relevant first and everything else afterward, but Indeed does not seemingly do this from our experience. If we do not enter exact key word matching our job postings and company information is not returned from the candidate search perspective.

Asking price really versus quality. Not a bad thing, but budget can be a problem.

Usability
Indeed
Overall usability is very good, for our company it's been helpful for us to be able to navigate a large applicant pool. We've also found the prompts and icons to be very intuitive and aesthetic. Issues have mostly been on the applicant end and the interview option, while helpful, has also had some minor usability issues in the past.

Because of the misinformation on job location, I give a low rating and this is the reason for my entire review.

Support Rating
Indeed
When we first started with Indeed, we had a dedicated account rep that we could reach out to with questions. They would often try to upcharge, but at least we could get solutions for issues. Unfortunately now Indeed has removed those positions and the only way to contact Support is chat and email. Many times we don't get an answer to questions, and have no escalation point for issues.

Support isn't that great. Just average I'd say. A lot of the time when things go wrong, there is nothing the support person can do. It's just the way they are set up and it takes them usually 24 hours to respond to a ticket which to me is far too long, but they are overall just okay.

Integration was easy and painless. Really had no issues throughout the process, and Indeed did not offer us support options. Glad that the system is helpful since Indeed's customer service is not. I do wish they had better support options, even a phone number to call if we run into issues.

I think Indeed Hiring Platform heavily outweighs Zip and CareerBuilder in terms of quality of candidates and candidate reach. It is most similar to LinkedIn in terms of success with sourcing candidates. Still, as stated in the previous question, I believe LinkedIn is more qualified in terms of higher-level/higher-paid candidates.

LinkedIn has better integration with its existing social media platform, allowing for the recruiter to accurately view a client's history. Furthermore, it shows reviews and work done by the potential recruit. In contrast, ZipRecruiter does not show as much insight into a client which can lead to time wasted with phone calls and other communication.

Return on Investment
Indeed
  • My healthcare client had 55 RSVPs and 19 attendees which were well above their expectations for the event. I think this event significantly reduced the time to hire for those who attended the event.
  • My customer service client had to cancel their event, but for their next one, they are definitely hoping it will have a great ROI since they are able to hire a high volume for each role.

LinkedIn
  • Able to reach and tap a more diverse talent pool directly
  • Makes it easy for candidates to apply with just one click rather than filling long forms which is a big deterrent for passive job seekers
  • Makes the hiring process more efficient as candidates not matching the pre defined criteria get rejected automatically
