Likelihood to Recommend The SQL database structure and application-consistent snapshots to local storage and recovery are very well done. The interface is nicely made and it is an intuitive design that needs very little training to use. The Restore from the Cloud function is cumbersome and slow, that could be improved by downloading and finding parts needed, instead of the entire backup media.
Read full review If your business (or your clients) use QBO using Rewind is an absolute no-brainer in my book. For a modest monthly cost (less than $10 per month per QBO file) you get cheap insurance against losing data and having to spend endless hours re-creating everything. When we use QB Desktop we back up the client QB files for the same reason. Now that things are increasingly moving to QBO we have the same option through Rewind.
Read full review Pros Backup of virtual machines. Upload to Cloud backups. Recovery of databases backed up through HYCU. Read full review I like that it has an organized and very simple-to-use user interface, with a very striking and colorful appearance. The one that allows you to make backup copies in an automated way, leaving aside the long manual process and its wait. The one that grants an incredible rewind function that differentiates it from the rest and gives the advantage of reestablishing any unwanted step or change that is not to our liking. The one that is a software that not only covers the creation of backup copies but also provides the protection of these thanks to its encryption. Read full review Cons The rollout of the file level backup is still not there. The Restore from the Cloud function is not ideal and needs lots of work. Backups being in native format would be nice for certain files. Read full review The interface is a bit slow; it would be nice to have something much more interactive and visually appealing. Not only that, but platform loading times in general can be slow. However, making copies or rewinds flows daily. Read full review Support Rating I have had several requests, and issues with the rollout and deployment of HYCU in our production environment. The HYCU team of support and developers have met each issue with importance and some kind of resolution or explanation of help. They have been so supportive even in the not so easy ones. That says something for their product and team behind it.
Read full review Alternatives Considered I have used several backup programs, I selected 2 just to be brief. The best thing I see with HYCU over Veeam is that it is much more difficult for an attacker if inside the network to gain access to the backups and objects saved in the backup storage. The best part about HYCU over Bacula is that it is much easier to use and more stable. The interface alone will save you from time and energy using other products
Read full review Trello only has manual backup options, which only save raw data in the form of spreadsheet exports--which would be a nightmare to rebuild into new boards! Other Trello backup options were similar. Rewind is the only one I've found that can recover the boards as they were at specific moments in time (i.e. right before losing data).
Read full review Return on Investment We have saved a few SQL issues and recovered data that could have been corrupted. Applications and files have a place in the cloud in case the need is there for other depts. Restoring across datacenters is possible with HYCU saving us time and money to do so. Read full review I feel a lot more liberated to experiment with different page layouts and styles without worrying about causing any damage to the shop. With the ability to rewind and restore to a previous backup, we have more peace of mind while experimenting with new functionality. I don't have to worry about remembering to back up because it does it for me on a regular basis. Read full review ScreenShots
