With a platform that leverages the potential of automation and AI, GoodData empowers its customers to make data analytics available to end users via real-time, self-service data insights right at the point of work. The vendor states that over 140,000 businesses and 3.2 million users rely on GoodData to drive meaningful change and achieve more through data.

GoodData’s AI-accelerated platform is built around four key pillars: simplicity, flexibility, productivity, and scalability. It enables companies of all sizes, from SMBs to enterprises, to:

  • Empower users to autonomously explore data and create AI-infused interactive dashboards and charts via a no-code UI. AI-powered features like NLQ to drive faster insights and faster decisions.
  • Launch customised analytics anywhere their users need it in the way they’re used to. With plug-and-play integrations, low-code/no-code tools, and flexible embedding options, organisations can deliver analytics to users.

  • Dynamically scale their analytics to accommodate increases in data volume, end users, and business partners. Through its multi-tenant architecture, GoodData enables organisations to distribute personalised analytics instances to teams, partners, or customers, while advanced caching delivers lighting performance and keeps cloud data warehouse costs low.

Business intelligence is recently being used in my country and Gooddata is an excellent digital tool that allows you to discover trends and new business opportunities thanks to its ease of use, and options that allow you to upload data manually and automatically. Dashboards and Insights are easy to create and can be exported to various formats. The ease of running in the cloud gives it extra value.
Identification of trends that allow timely corrections to be made in business management and also discover new business opportunities. All this is based on the historical information of the company.
  • fast implementation
  • manual and automatic data loading
  • easy creation of insights and dashboards
  • Ease of replacing the GoodData brand with my company logo.
  • Include GoodData on my website to offer data analysis services.
  • Spanish version
  • Representation and technical support in Latin America
  • More automatic loading options from various ERP's
  • A virtual assistant would be recommended for technical support issues.
For me, the appropriate scenario is one in which there is a lot of historical information in my case of sales and costs. Likewise, the option of uploading information in CSV format has been very useful to me, without the need for intervention from an IT area. The scenario that I have not explored yet is when the data is in an unconventional ERP, in these cases connectors would need to be developed.

  • Improved seasonal sales
  • Helped me eliminate costs that influenced prices
  • Discover sales opportunities in geographical sectors that did not have them mapped.
Its easy implementation since it is in the cloud and its easy use in data loading and dashboard generation, another detail is the option of automatic loading from cloud computing systems such as Amazon and Azure. Another detail is the variety of profiles that users can have and the various plans.
The implementation was carried out within the schedule since we had the information available in CSV format, the creation of the workspaces was quite simple, and later the creation of insights and dashboards. In the last stage, implementing the automatic upload from Azure, it is also very useful to send reports to users.
I am looking for a business analysis tool to promote them in my country and in Good Data I found the following characteristics, Easy Implementation, ease to use, Good collection of templates for data analysis, manual and automatic data loading, and appropriate plans. I think it has a comparative advantage over other products in its class.
I have not yet integrated with other tools, because there is not yet an appropriate connector to the ERP developed in Peru.
Select Good data because it has simpler options, the other tool has, from my point of view, many options that are not clear and what I look for for my clients in the small business sector is ease of implementation, simple data loading and immediate dashboard generation , another detail is that Good data allows me to scale plans if I need it.
  • Sales Force
  • SAP
I did not achieve an integration, due to lack of technical support and documentation from SAP and Sales Force and specifically to the lack of connectors for this objective.
  • SAP and Sales force
I don't know, but I would like to contact the specialized area
  • File import/export
In my experience I have only been able to import csv files, locally and from the AZURE platform.
We must start from the simplest to the most complex, I recommend importing local CSV files with simple company data (sales, prices, costs), then upload the same data to a data platform (Azure, Amazon) and carry out an automatic procedure. update.

My company is dedicated to digital services consulting and market research, here in Peru these services are still elementary and in little demand. However, I am doing educational training.

The assigned person does not require training in information technologies, due to the intuitive nature of its use, in addition to having an extensive knowledge database. In my case, the person in charge is a finance-treasury specialist.
  • Business evolution dashboards for company management,
  • Analysis of sales trends vs costs
  • Third-party services for data analysis and correction of marketing strategies
  • Provide services to third parties, especially small businesses, help them improve their business model and lead them towards a digital transformation.
  • A complete integration with our ERP, in such a way that it helps us in all areas of the business.
I consider it, together with AI, to be an indispensable co-pilot for data management in the company.
Yes
It replaced the use of laborious spreadsheets, which required many hours of preparation and use of resources.
  • Cloud Solutions
  • Scalability
  • Integration with Other Systems
  • Ease of Use
Simplicity and easy implementation seem the most outstanding in my case, I think that scalability and its cloud version are next in importance.
The functionalities and their application in my business are the priority for the evaluation and selection of a product. In this regard, other products offered may have many functions that I do not need.
I think support in Spanish is necessary if you want to expand in LATAM
I think that in the stage of complex implementations I should hire special support. However, later implemented I don't think it is necessary.
No
When I had a problem accessing an AZURE source, they supported me even after hours and also escalated it to more specialized levels.

Good Data = Good Deal

  • GoodData puts powerful data visualization into the hands of business users, eliminating IT from the equation.
  • GoodData required only a brief intro to its basic philosophy, and nontechnical users were quickly able to start building dashboards and views they could actually use.
  • GoodData enabled powerful graphics to be constructed combining enterprise data and external data such as research or industry data, easily imported and homologated to create comparisons.
  • As with many information tools, GoodData can be challenging to a novice user who is too rushed to learn while building.
If you want to succeed with BI you need to embrace "Laisser Faire BI", in other words put a great product in people's hands and get yourself out of the way. Some formal structure may be necessary in some orgs, but the real adoption curve is driven by demand, not supply.

GD is so far my favourite end-user BI tool and eclipses all other cloud tools, while also enabling use of GoodData on top of a corporate 'gold standard' platform such as Business Objects, or just an Oracle based Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW).
  • GoodData is most popular among "data hound" category of business user. Anyone who is capable of running and refining large Excel pivots, and who can extract SQL statement results into Excel, is easily able to build beautiful analytics and visualizations in GoodData.
  • Some less proactive GD users are merely consuming the analytics views created by their colleagues.
  • In one customer demo, we used online banking data (yes, for real) and observed as GoodData created different dashboards for different people depending on what it found in the downloaded data. It was very cool. Download 1 full year of online banking transactions into CSV, then create new project using this as base data. Where debit categories were clearly showing a pattern, the dashboard put this item first and showed a pretty useful pattern. where people had variable income and from various sources, it showed that first and created great interest in seasonal variances by source.
Salesforce reports & dashboards, Excel, SQL commands.
  • Implemented in-house
We let it go viral among the smartest and most data-hungry and analytical people in the organization. That generated some me-too following, and before we knew it we had a Mexican wave. The stragglers too were enthusiastic, especially when they could just use metrics created by their colleagues
  • In-person training
  • Self-taught
Petr was a rock star - patient, knowledgeable, clear and easy to work with.
It makes you feel smart. You try to build an ambitious metric or graph, and by guessing and using intuition, suddenly you've got it!
GoodData is still a small, hungry and very capable organization. I do hope while they grow and scale up their operations they will maintain this hungry yet humble culture that is always there for their customers.

  • We helped a technology client of ours evaluate and implement GoodData. Our client was spending several hours each week exporting data from Salesforce and/or manually inputting Salesforce data into spreadsheets to track historical pipeline by region, product and opportunity stage. Our client was also trying to analyze sales stage velocity to understand what the best practice stage duration was for closed won opportunities. Our client also wanted to understand sales rep behavior.
  • GoodData allows our client to track changes in pipeline with detailed graphs and charts. You can analyze across dimensions, including regions, products and stages. You can set indicators, such as sales management targets, to measure performance. You can correlate sales rep behavior (ex. activities) to rep performance (ex. closed-won opps).
  • Integration to Salesforce data was very simple, although it does require a Salesforce user license.
  • This is not a real time data flow. We scheduled an automatic daily refresh from Salesforce to GoodData though.
  • One of the benefits of GoodData is that it snapshots the Salesforce data. Unfortunately, you cannot load historical Salesforce data and expect to take advantage of the "Changes in Pipeline" capabilities day 1. This is not a deficiency of GoodData, as much as I am just trying to set expectations that it will take some time to benefit from these capabilities.
  • Our client is saving at least 6 hours per week from manual data entry and analysis.
  • Improved forecasting.
  • Improved sales rep and opportunity activity analysis.
GoodData provides the metrics/reports that we were told it would provide. It is meeting the client's expectations at a reasonable price point.

  • Our client is using it for sales analysis - across regions, sales reps and products.
  • Our client is using it to answer questions like 1) How is the pipeline progressing through the quarter? 2) Are we likely to meet our numbers based on the current pipeline breakdown? It is challenging within basic Salesforce reporting to monitor changes in the pipeline. GoodData help them understand what happened to the pipeline from the beginning of the month to the end of the month. Answers questions like - Which deals had a closed date that pushed to the following month? What opportunities increased/decreased in value?
  • Helps our client see how opportunities created flow through the different stages and where are the major drop offs. By looking at the created to won conversion rate you get a better understanding of how many new opportunities you will need in the future to meet your targets. Also helps you understand sales velocity.
  • Helps you understand which sales rep activities drive opportunity creation and which close deals. Analyzes which sales activities win deals. Compares specific rep activities levels to averages.
Exporting data from Salesforce into Microsoft Excel. Manual data entry.
Birst, which had comparable functionality. We chose GoodData based on ease-of-use and price.
  • Professional services company
GoodData provided a technical implementation partner. We served as the Salesforce experts and business requirements main point of contact for our client. Our client's controller was involved and also ensured the Exec teams' operational requirements were addressed.
Thorough, professional and on time.

  • Self-taught
GoodData implementation team was professional and courteous.
Yes. Some admin training would be helpful though.

During the one outage we were clearly communicated to that there was an issue, and that support was working to resolve it. The issue was resolved within an hour.
Each graph/report is defined on the dashboard, which makes it easier to understand what you're analyzing. Another simple example - we changed the standard metric of Region by User to our Region by Account in less than 10 minutes.
We are approximately one month since go-live. There has been one short outage.
Performance on refreshing metrics works well.
  • Salesforce.com
Integration was done using the Salesforce api. It was as simple as setting up a Salesforce user account and then having the implementer use that account to log into Salesforce.
