A great web builder for WordPress at a great price

Rating: 9 out of 10
March 21, 2025
  • Theme builder (header, footer, site parts)
  • Forms, with options for what to do with form submissions after they've been submitted (email, collect , push to EMS)
  • Easy to use widgets for things that would otherwise need coding manually (sliders, carousels, flip boxes etc.)
  • Pre-built templates
  • Dynamic conditions for content display
Cons
  • Occasional plugin conflicts
  • Occasional differences in appearance between the editor and live page.
  • Flexbox building has a deeper learning curve than the previous sections/columns builder. In-editor guidance would be helpful here.
  • Some options/widgets available in other builders aren't in Elementor, which means additional plugins are sometimes needed.

Elementor is a great web editing platform to use for small businesses!

  • Utilizes a Drag and Drop style of editing
  • Keeps things mobile and tablet friendly
  • Formats things nicely and keeps things uniform
  • Gives lots of options for adding text, images, buttons, html coding, etc.
Cons
  • It can be hard to remember to switch to mobile view to make sure it computes well on cell phones and tablets.
  • The updates sometimes can mess with the theme and site, and requires some editing to get it back to the correct format.
  • There is an Elementor Pro version that gives more options, but it does cost a yearly fee, which can add up over time.

Yep, I love Elementor

  • Visual design for WordPress themes
  • Easy to drag-and-drop content elements
  • Comes with good pre-made themes
  • Access to advanced settings for front-end devs
Cons
  • Some specific features like slideshows, if you want a very customised experience it has to be manually created
  • Some 3rd-party themes that are built on Elementor lose compatibility after updates if they're not well made
  • It requires an extra layer of support because it's not a core part of WordPress

Robust web design arsenal
