Overall Satisfaction with Zuora

We currently use Zuora for our new subscription product but will phase in our legacy product and renewals. The product and engineering team were heavily involved with implementation. The product and finance teams are the current and future users. We are still new to Zuora but hopefully it will help provide more information on our churned customers and reduce our credit card decline rates.

Pros

  • Hands-on implementation and guidance, great training videos/knowledgebase
  • Easy plug ins for multiple payment gateways, will manage relationships
  • Plays well with other companies (integrations)

Cons

  • GL coding and mapping not robust, can't have multiple bank accounts, or wire fee/cost accounts
  • Hard to delete or undo actions (payments, invoices, subscriptions)
  • Journal Entry output file is not configurable
Zuora was by far the superior product and most reputable. It gave us the best opportunity to scale quickly without causing the business to slow. We felt Zuora was the right fit for our 300k+ subscribers worldwide and could help solve our decline rates.
Easy to scale, great reporting and customer insights. Although it is difficult to undo something, it requires you to use a correct process. Implementation requires a lot of time and resources but they have a great implementation team.
