Overall Satisfaction with Xero

We use Xero for AP and AR. We are an events business and didn't have a clear view of event profit - It was a manual process to calculate this. With the use of tracking categories and a clean structured P&L, we can now easily filter by brand and event and have all the data at our fingertips. We use automation and integrated apps to boost productivity.
We use Xero Payroll - Processing payroll is really simple.

Pros

  • Bank reconcile is so clear and simple
  • Payables are easy to review and set dated for future payments, giving clear details of amounts due on set dates
  • 90 day cashflow takes all data in Xero and if accounts are kept up to date, including payment dates sent and expected dates for receivables this is very informative

Cons

  • In receivables, it would be good to see a summary of payments expected (as we can with payables when the payment date is set)
  • Clear view of business financials
  • Reduced errors
  • Time saving
The software is well designed and simple to use. Supporting documentation is clear and easy to follow when tackling new functions in the software for the first time.
Xero has streamlined a number of processes and as a result we have brought tasks in-house that would otherwise have been outsourced. i.e. payroll.
Once integration is set up, it benefits and saves so much time. We use a lot of integrated apps and set-up of the apps is well-documented and easy to set up.

HubSpot CRM, Dext Prepare (with Receipt Bank), Float Cash Flow
In our business we use a lot of systems. Xero supports a lot of native integrations which allow the business to streamline processes, including that of paying suppliers and salary run. It's such a great time saving compared to when all payment runs were manually created, and leaves little room for error.
