Overall Satisfaction with Wolters Kluwer CCH® Tagetik
We use CCH Tagetik for:
- Management reporting on monthly base.
- Consolidation on quarterly base.
- Entering budget.
Pros
- Integration with Excel.
- Good customer service desk.
- Very well documented.
- Easy to use as an administration with little IT skills.
Cons
- The user-friendliness of the HTML5 interface (might be a general thing with HTML5).
- More information in the tool itself.
- Better help functionality.
- One version on the truth: mgmt and console in 1 package.
- ease of use and easy to hand over to new people
- SAP BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation)
CCH Tagetik is way more user friendly and the online help is understandable by non-IT people.

Wolters Kluwer CCH® Tagetik Feature Ratings
Using Wolters Kluwer CCH® Tagetik
7 - it is used mainly in finance: from local controllers/finance admins over production controlling and group controlling. Beside that it it used for the complete consolidation and consulted by CFO
1 - Group controller is internally main support person. That is the person who set up the complete Tagetik suite in a coaching model together with the external consultants. Thus the person who was involved from the beginning: designing structure, maintaining data model, setting up reports and input schedules, ...
- monthly reporting
- consolidation
- budget
- kpi reporting
- seamless integration with Excel (major asset!!!)
- ease of use for non IT person
- you feel that this product is build by people with the same profile as the users, and not by some IT people who believe they know what the user needs
- very decent support and documentation where a lot of information can be found
- other way of budgetting
- moving towards forecasting and flexible budgetting
Evaluating Wolters Kluwer CCH® Tagetik and Competitors
Yes - SAP BPC
outdated and not supported anymore.
we wanted to replace it as the used functionality wasn't supported anymore. Too much need of IT skills to maintain, not flexible, bad (or none) customer support . not suitable for company where no dedicated IT person is in house

Configuring Wolters Kluwer CCH® Tagetik
do it in coaching model
we created input schedules to make journal bookings in stead of using the features in the model. The excel way worked better for us and this was possible
