Visual Studio IDE Review
Overall Satisfaction with Visual Studio IDE
Visual Studio is being across the whole organization by different teams and team members .
It is incredibly quick and smooth compared to other IDE such as Eclipse . I have been an Eclipse user for a long time but after shifting to visual studio, there is no going back . The extensions available are amazing and the most important aspect is the ease with which these extensions can be downloaded and used .
I used numerous of them such as debugger for Chrome, walnut, gitLens and so on .
Pros
- Availability of Extensions
- Compatibility with Git
- Easy settings
Cons
- Better Technical Support
- Hard to find the right option
- Disk space occupied is large
- Single interface for all developing tools
- Debugging
- User friendly display
- Interface is easy to understand. I know developer actually leaving other IDE after using visual studio
- Code highlighting and linting is excellent
- One downside is that opening multiple solutions in one program does not have support
Some of the editors are suitable for a particular programming language . For example PyCharm is suited for Python .
Visual Studio has support for many languages and Visual Studio is comparatively light weight from most of the IDE . The ability to get extensions and use them is highly efficient .
For someone looking for a lean, quick loading and customizable IDE, Visual studio IDE should be the choice
