Overall Satisfaction with Visme

As an ed-tech startup, we provide courses on various topics like app development, website development (front end and back end), cloud, graphic designing, UI/UX, and many more. But the pandemic changed everything for us. The transition from offline classes to online classes has seen an increase in usage of video conference software and presentation tools, both for the employees (internal team meetings) and for the students (instructors need to make some presentation for the students). And for this we used Visme, which was useful for presentations, reports, infographics, and various other charts and tasks.

Pros

  • Easy to use
  • Great features
  • Good customer service
  • Very useful tool for businesses to create graphics

Cons

  • A bit expensive compared to other tools
  • Although it has some great features, it still lacks some elements
  • Could have made it a bit easier to customize the templates
  • Align feature could have been better
  • Easy to use; even beginners could learn
  • Great tool for presentations, infographics, charts, graphics
  • Very helpful to create stats with our data
  • Helped us create content for marketing and promotion
  • It helped us in content creation--graphs and posters
  • Helped us simplify our overall stats--courses sold, visitors on our page
  • The tool is pricy and not recommended for small enterprises, as there are alternatives
  • It has a range of free stock graphics and photos
PowerPoint has fewer templates when compared to Visme, PowerPoint has limited editor options, and both offer transitions and animations. Visme has the ability to share files and folders privately, while PowerPoint can only share files privately. Visme helps format the statistics and performance analytics for your company and helps in lead generation. Visme helps in graphics, presentations, charts, and infographics, while PowerPoint is only used for presentations.

Do you think Visme delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Visme's feature set?

Yes

Did Visme live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Visme go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Visme again?

Yes

We used Visme for graphics, presentations, infographics for teaching students, as well as keeping a record (stats) for the team. It is a very helpful tool for graphic designers. It has some cool templates, but if customization of templates could have been possible, it would have been great. It is integrated with Unsplash (which has millions of free stock photos), which is great when you want to use random pictures for your presentations. It is easy to use and very fun to roam around the website. The software is continuously improving and can be used for creative projects. Unfortunately, it is a bit pricy and the alignment options are not so great.

Evaluating Visme and Competitors

Yes - When we first used Visme, we thought it could only be used for presentations. We did not have any idea about its usage, and two years ago when we tried it, we were very impressed with the features and usage--from presentations to graphs, infographics, and what not. But we have stopped using the graphic designers and started using Canva.
Visme has a free version and paid version, which starts at approximately $14. The tool can be used for various purposes and has some good features. It is not just useful for presentations but also for analytics, charts, graphs, and graphics. It is very useful for businesses and they are continuously evolving the app and adding features to it.
I think most people don't know about Visme and its features. Just like when we first used it two years ago, we hardly had any idea about it. We have stopped using it now and we are using Canva and Mentimeter. But for people who are just starting out, I recommend using Visme once.
