Overall Satisfaction with Vena
Financial reporting for the whole company. It has been a reliable tool for reporting. The budgeting process was too cumbersome.
Pros
- Data compilation
- Data drill down
Cons
- Template set up. It is very dependent of formulas specific to Vena, which are not intuitive.
- Contract management. Not good to initiate renewal 30 days before expiration only to state termination requires more notice! This destroyed our relationship and any chance we might return.
- The cost was high for our usage. Part of that was our fault.
- Since our ERP was not capable of generating the reports we need, Vena was very helpful.
- Data is updated quickly.
Great efforts were made by both us and Vena to fully utilize the program. The additional charges seemed high and would be better served within the subscription.
It was used only for basic but complicated financial reporting.
Data Rails is similar to Vena but easier to use and at a lower price. Historically, ERP systems provided much of what we used Vena for. That currently is not the case and these additional subscriptions are necessary. What used to be a simple process that required little training is more complicated and costly with Vena.
