Overall Satisfaction with TIBCO Spotfire

As an analytics platform, it provides insight to data that was previously not used or difficult to use.

Pros

  • Pulling in data from databases to create rich visualizations.
  • Showing data in multiple ways.

Cons

  • Version control for visualizations.
Spotfire had a better learning curve than Seeq, and it was easy to get value quickly.
  • It provides visualizations to upper management so they have awareness at all times.
  • Self-taught
Online resources were helpful.
We have multiple data sources, but use databases for the most part.
Good for dashboards, but not great for monitoring or alerting.
