Good 3d software, but not the best in being user-friendly.
Overall Satisfaction with Siemens NX CAD
Siemens NX CAD is mainly used by us o draw and archive 3d and 2d technical drawings of tooling and product assemblies. For example testing tools for plastic products, we engineer and produce. Tooling can also be composed of many sub-components. We also need to manage 3d assemblies to create exploded drawings and assembly instructions.
Pros
- Modeling
Cons
- The thing that I need to keep all the parts, usually in common with other assemblies, in the same folder is very uncomfortable if I need to revise a single component.
- I would prefer to have 1 file for each part and just select it when needed. (with Solidedge this is possible).
- Siemens NX CAD made much faster studying and modeling tooling and product assemblies
I find DraftSight as a pure 2d integration of Siemens NX CAD. They don't collide, they are useful for different needs.
