Overall Satisfaction with SAP Crystal Reports
SAP Crystal Reports has helped us in taking the data we have and making reports quickly that are formatted for a professional look. We were able to link the database directly and make the reporting process easier for employees who do not have any background with SQL. The power of SQL with the simplicity for non SQL savvy employees was helpful for us. A few of us took online training courses and then after that we have had other employees mirror us as we use SAP Crystal Reports to learn how to use it as well as helping us better learn since teaching how to do something tends to help expand the understanding of it to then be able teach it.
Pros
- Create professional looking reports easily
- Generate invoices and estimates for clients
- Access more data in reports than previously we used
Cons
- Requires training video - Not easy to just learn by trail
- The snapping for drag and drop does not always work properly
- It can run slower at times than we would like
We were using Excel, so going to Crystal Reports from Excel was a big upgrade. This made the process of taking data from our database easy and the ability for generating reports easy so more employees can run the reports.
