Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
Being cloud based, to ensure remote staff can be effective at using the software. The dashboard function is also great to help various departments and teams manage their spending. Finally the customization options allow for a few different methods of tracking funds, useful for nonprofits with streams of various funding types.
Pros
- Dashboards are available and customization by team or person.
- Cloud-based means it can be used from anywhere.
- Ability to customize the information collected helps with fund tracking
Cons
- Some of the internal tools are not as good as third-party tools.
- Wish there were additional built-in dimensions.
- Reports can't generally be run for non-fiscal year aligned periods
- Reduced time for close by 1-2 days.
- Increased financial transparency.
- Allows for multiple users at at time to be in the system and working
Intacct is much more robust than Quickbooks desktops--it is more customizable, more powerful, and cloud based. NetSuite is a similar product in terms of capability, but the interface and dashboards, etc. suited our organization more. The look and the ease-of-use for us was the reason we chose Intacct after moving on from Quickbooks.
