Overall Satisfaction with Red Hat OpenShift
On-premise and cloud container orchestration environment for diverse compute loads.
As a long term user (>5 years) we have moved our workloads from VMs to the RHOS environments. We use it for everything like versioning, CI/CD systems, testing and production application environments. With class-leading security features it is easy to setup SSO and create environments with quotas.

Pros
- security administration
- project quotas
- node labeling
Cons
- hardware requirements can be high
- number of different nodes are sometimes high
- routers and ingresses are different from plain k8s
- we can run more than 3 times build pipelines comparing to the VMs
- save us time deploying from test to production
- easy to upgrade
Since moving to RHOS we are more conscious about the resources that applications are using as they are finite. We are also more deliberate in security choosing non-root container images as RHOS disallows running containers with root privileges.
Having multiple way to interact with the RHOS we can easily look at the logs via console or use CLI tools.

It is the best Enterprise ready orchestration solution for us.
