Overall Satisfaction with QNAP NAS
In MY organization QNAP NAS is being used only for technical reasons. For example as IT dept when we need to backup a customer's pc because is damaged or infected, we made a VEEAM image on the NAS via network. So it's easy to recover or extract data and it's fast. QNAP NAS offers high quality at right costs. We use it also to stock old data that need to be judged.
Pros
- Save pc with VEEAM images
- Share files and save them
- NAS to NAS backup over internet
- Surveillance
Cons
- I've had difficulties upgrading firmwares
- Reboot it's even very slow , like 15/20 minutes but that's not so critical
- Save customers pc in VEEAM Images to work on the machines to repair them
- Share data
- NAS to NAS backup on premise and over internet
- Stock old data to judge
- POSITIVE: Very high quality NAS, durable, we sell them, then we make HW contracts for manteining them and they don't need nothing they are STRONG
- POSITIVE: they are good looking, customer even appreciate them also in that way
- NEGATIVE: They are slow updating and rebooting.. but that's not so negative
- POSITIVE: There are full of functionality i think you can find like everything you may need from a NAS, also for MULTIMEDIA
Our historical supplier was a QNAP partner so we started with them.
We resell on request also NETGEAR and Synology. Maybe is for the practice on them but we think that they are easier to use and configure.
The thing i can affirm with convinction is that are realy durable! I think i never repaired a QNAP NAS and, we resell them from about 10 years.
They have all the functionality we ever had to our customers.
