QlikView Enterprise

Overall Satisfaction with QlikView

We have many users working with the QlikView app, and export our ERP data to the software to apply filters and research product sales and orders across our global footprint. It can be very challenging to export past data and current trends from most ERP software, and the QV application makes it easy and fruitful in searching for trends and justification data.

Pros

  • Trend identification
  • New product tracking
  • Data export

Cons

  • Alignment across many divisions
  • Data input clarity
  • Clear trends on lost opportunities
  • Understanding of current and future run rates
When integrating the tool years ago, we looked at other options including the out of the box reporting features from our current ERP software, The user interface and report-ability was very difficult to use and scale across may different business models in our group. We also found it very hard to integrate data across different ERP software, as we are a global company and not all users reside on the same software for things like ERP and sales tools, we needed something to pull data across the spectrum of software users.

Do you think QlikView delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with QlikView's feature set?

Yes

Did QlikView live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of QlikView go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy QlikView again?

Yes

We have many different levels of users across the QlikView app software. We find it is east to understand, easy to search and understand the data that is produced from the queries. The one issue that takes practice is relying on the data's accuracy as its difficult to validate the background information as to where the data originates, and typically requires a conference with the managers of the software itself.
I was not included in the discussions with the team when integrating QlikView into the company, years ago. We has a rollout team internal that handled all the coordination installation, but we continue to have our list of internal power users we are able to connect with when issues happen or questions/new features are needed.
Sales data validations have helped manage our justifications in the past, especially with regard to new product development and new business introduction. It has also been helpful in identifying trends with business impact and direction specific to quarter and monthly sales from ERP data as well as decisions to purchase equipment of staffing based on run rates and product demand.

One thing that can get out of hand is data output - if you aren't careful in your query, you may be overloaded with data dumps and drown in the amount of info you have to filter through. This is a user caution, not a comment on the software itself.
