Overall Satisfaction with Prophix

Our company is relatively new to Prophix. We currently use it for financial reporting and budgeting. Now that financial information is at their fingertips, general managers are on top of their numbers. We plan to create detailed dashboards for others throughout our company to use.

Pros

  • Integrate with Sage software.
  • Variety of charts and graphs.
  • Ad hoc capability.

Cons

  • Ability to sort columns and rows.
  • Ability to display a table on dashboard.
  • Ability to review user setup as they would see their security.
  • Training academy: Use cases and an area for working with what you learned before using the live environment would be appreciated. Also, training is locked until you complete a live webinar, which hampers continuous learning.
  • Month-end close reduced by three days. Issues/questions are resolved early in the month.
Our company has struggled with budgeting. Upper management required a weekly budget. Prophix provided a means to illustrate the complexity of budgeting at this level. We recently converted to a monthly budget using the Prophix system. Budgeting is less complex and better reflects our business.

Prophix excels at providing detailed financial reports. Our end users have access to up-to-date financials throughout the month. They continually monitor variances from budget goals and forecast what is required to meet them. In addition, the ability to drill into financial numbers down to the individual invoice has created an environment where issues are resolved before the preliminary financial statements are submitted for review.
