Overall Satisfaction with Prophix

We are currently using Prophix within the finance department for financial reporting, ad hoc account inquiries, and budgeting. We are in the process of migrating to the cloud and once there will begin to selectively deploy across the organization.

Pros

  • Flexible - it can do just about anything you can think of for reporting and analysis and planning.
  • Easy to learn and use
  • The Prophix team is great to work with

Cons

  • Missing some font types
  • Streamlined budgeting and planning
We are still working towards leaving excel behind for budgeting but moving in the right direction.

Budget Maestro was awful experience. We bailed 80% of the way through implementation because it became abundantly clear that we were going to have to fit into their mold which didn't work for us. When their implementation team started to use the word work-around I knew we were in trouble. Prophix is flexible and robust. Things we couldn't accomplish on BM was easily done on Prophix.
Great at creating company and account hierarchies. We have easily consolidated reporting from several different entities which use separate ERPs.
