Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
We use Paylocity are our Finance and HRIS. Beginning when a new employee is onboarded, and all the way through their career with us, through termination. We use timesheets, payroll and various other things such as the portal. All our employees use Paylocity and we try to increase utilization as much as possible.
Pros
- Payroll typically runs without any issues.
- Onboarding generally works well.
- Paylocity integrates well with Employee Navigator, our benefits portal.
Cons
- Timesheets are clunky and involve extra steps that shouldn't occur.
- Customer support is often lacking. I just went to log onto a previously scheduled support meeting and no one was there.
- The reports feature is inconsistent and unwieldy.
- It has shortened the amount of time needed to run payroll.
- It has enabled HR to run demographic reports in a timely fashion.
- It enables us to track time and attendance.
It has helped to automate a number of work processes. Payroll and time tracking are the most common. We don't really use it for strategic purposes. Better report functionality would help in that regard. There are two separate report tabs, and it is unclear which one should be used when.
