Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use it for our employee database, time and labor, payroll, reviews, onboarding, recruiting, and reporting. It keeps information organized, sends reminders to managers, assists with audits, and helps streamline hiring.

Pros

  • Reviews.
  • Recruiting and Onboarding.
  • Recognition and rewards.

Cons

  • Clarity with entering new employees (taxation).
  • Often the system is glitchy.
  • Time punches.
  • Customer service.
  • Reduced time expenditures.
  • Better data driven decision making.
  • More consistent processes.
It has helped alleviate time constraints, especially in weeks when we are heavy on deadlines and reporting needed.
We haven't used these tools very much. We have other internal methods for creating a more effective community for our company.
It's hard to compare because my previous employer didn't have a robust team that could dedicate time and learning to Paycom. I will say that Paylocity is much more user-friendly for our employees and management team.

Do you think Paylocity delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Paylocity's feature set?

Yes

Did Paylocity live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Paylocity go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Paylocity again?

Yes

When we are making organizational decisions, the reports are very impactful to our management team. There have been times when I have emailed Paylocity or called to troubleshoot an issue and, at times, were unresponsive or forgot to follow up, or they weren't sure how to fix a problem or glitch in the system. In one instance, I was having trouble onboarding an employee and ended up onboarding him manually. It was not saving the information I was inputting. When I called, the team didn't seem to know why. I later learned a field was missing, but there was no alert.
