Paylocity Experience
Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
Pros
- HR and Payroll
- Workflows and Documentation
- Performance Reviews
Cons
- Timesheets, allowing the clockin/clock out to completely be removed and only allow hours to be inputted for salary exempt.
- Job codes, allowing cascading (tiering) charge codes on timesheets vs a completely flat structure/view.
- Allowing clients access to a non-production/test environment that is duplicate of their current HRIS system. It's never a good practice to "test in production", many changes would prefer to be tested outside of our live system to confirm it works as intended before implementing in full.
- Lack in ability to map to GL, requires a team at Paylocity to support and can take multiple days and up to or even over a week to resolve, when I can call my account manager and if I'm able to reach them, they can resolve in 5 minutes
- Inability to spider search keywords in resumes. ATS will not import a resume, it's an attachment and applicants most copy/paste data (which they don't). Would be nice to search 1000+ applicants for "PMP" as a certification and see results, or even combined filters to search through a resume database
