Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use Paylocity for all functions except time and attendance as the schedules of our industry are too complicated for Paylocity time and attendance module. Problems mainly arise out of limited access to customize the modules - everything has to go through an account representative and account representatives are not consistently fluent in the Paylocity product and most times, Paylocity has a hierarchy that the account representatives has to follow, the famous answer is "I will put in a ticket" and literally, it is weeks or months if anything is resolved if resolved at all.

Pros

  • ACA reporting
  • Staff like the app

Cons

  • has habit of "improving" features no desired
  • ignores requests for needed improvements
  • do not see advantages in roi
recruiting and onboarding are less manual. Benefits enrollment is ok, I think H.SAs though are horrid for setting up. Our Org Chart has an error in it that at least for the last year Paylocity said it is hard wired and cannot correct so that is useless to us. Security Roles are a challenge from an org tree set up. Took weeks to get some progress for the purpose of Employee Action Forms. We now have weekly meetings with Paylocity on our issues and have had meetings for months and still have unresolved issues.
this is nice to have for employees and managers however, what hard core end users need, would not rave about Community when main functions do not work well.
ADP much more powerful.

Do you think Paylocity delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Paylocity's feature set?

No

Did Paylocity live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of Paylocity go as expected?

No

Would you buy Paylocity again?

No

Paylocity can work with a sweet spot of up to 500 staff, over 500 schedules / compensation / policies can become complicated that seems to stump Paylocity.
