Overall Satisfaction with Paychex Flex

I mainly use it to manage our company's retirement plan an average of five or more times yearly. I sometimes use it to obtain other general employee information. Another user uses the payroll section at least Bi-Weekly.

Pros

  • It provides a well account of Retirement Plan Account Information.
  • Alerts are sent to email when there is new information to access.
  • Employee access both online and thru app.
  • Paperless options.
  • Easy and quick access to paystubs and tax forms.
  • Easy employee retirement management.

Cons

  • Make it easier for employees to download the app without the employer sending a message.
  • Enable access to all sections for authorized administrators without the need for another administrator authorization.
  • Time Savings.
  • Benefit management and tracking.
  • Employee self-service.
When I contact Paychex, whether by phone or email, I always get solutions to my requests. Having dedicated representatives is also a big help; they keep me up to date on the ever-changing rules and regulations. On my recent call, the rep not only answered my question but also went above and beyond by showing me on the platform a couple of ways to see the information I needed.
Paychex offers much more than just tracking employee attendance and managing employee records. It offers Payroll services, Human Resource Services, Retirement Services, On-Boarding Services, Employee-Self Services, Employee Benefits Management, Employee Handbook Services, Custom accruals for Paid Time, Sick Pay, and other accruals. Paychex also helps to comply with state mandatory postings and provides training on various topics. Plus, much more.

We have been a Paychex customer for over 15 years. Since switching over, our payroll process has been more straightforward to manage than our previous time system, where we had to total worked hours manually. This was very important when our employee count was over 50 employees. The added services provided by Paychex have dramatically improved our Human Resources department's job.
As an employer, it is well suited to access employee information from anywhere at any time with security features improved. When logging in from work, I prefer not to get an access code sent to my personal phone. An option for business email would be great. And when logging in to my personal account, I prefer not to have access to a business account.
