Overall Satisfaction with Paychex Flex

Paychex Flex is used for payroll and reports. The employee uses if for their reports and updating their personal info as needed.

Pros

  • The reports section is great with all the various options and customization that is available.
  • Having the employee have access to their own information and tax documents truly saves time.

Cons

  • Not all areas of calculating a voucher are explanatory and cause confusion.
  • At time of load, we were incorrectly coded as a 941 filer and trying to run reports, after correction, data is confusing.
  • Employee is happy with the freedom to check their own account at their pleasure.
Every time I have needed to speak with my specialist, the response is fast. They are super helpful. If they are not available, a team member will respond on their behalf and help out. Even if they are temporarily covering them, they take ownership and follow up on the matter until it is resolved.

It is very user friendly and each specific area has fairly detailed explanations around them. Each section is logically labelled. Each section is also logically grouped together with like items. The demonstrations or show me features truly make things, that are unknown, understood and familiar to any user. I also love the preview check feature as it is a major time saver.
The freedom and access is beyond helpful. Being able to add my own earnings and deductions as needed is a great feature. Being a household employer though, it may be too many bells and whistles for the basic needs of the company.
