Overall Satisfaction with Parallels Remote Application Server
In my organization, selected people who need a stable and fast way to operate internal applications use Parallels Remote Application Server.
Pros
- Fast
- Easy to set up
Cons
- MFA
- Buggy versions
- We got rid of Citrix
- Easy and fast to deploy new programs
- Citrix Virtual Apps (formerly XenApp)
Citrix is not very user friendly to set up. We had a lot of issues with the ERP systems and also a lot of printing issues. With Citrix you had to tweak the registry to get some BASIC functions, which come out-of-the-box with Parallels Remote Application Server.
Well, yes it is easy to set up. Sadly, some versions are extremely buggy, but usually are fixed quite fast.
At least the last version I tested had a lot of issues with the clipboard, when using HTML.
Otherwise, Parallels Remote Application Server is easy to use.

Well ESX and Windows work well for us so far.
The Azure MFA is causing some issues. The instructions are, too, and Azure does not support the MFA the way it is described. At least, this is what I found a month ago.
