Overall Satisfaction with N-able Take Control
We use N-able to take control of the computers remotely. This can be either inside or outside of our network infrastructure. N-able is mostly used by our IT department as a way of support of our end users and is installed by default on all of our domain-joined computers.
Pros
- Remote control
- Ease of use
- Stability
Cons
- Computer often un-registers for no reason
- Scripting the agent has only a 50% success rate
- Network probes necessary
- Time gain in supporting end users
- No transport needed to end users
- SolarWinds Dameware Remote Everywhere (DRE)
In my previous job we used Dameware which was a very good tool but lacked the managing capabilities of N-able. It has been a few years, so maybe Dameware has improved in that regard.
