Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Miro as a virtual whiteboard for both my own thoughts as well as getting input from other stakeholders and SMEs in the organization. It is a useful informal medium vs something like Notion or Confluence which is harder to use as a large whiteboard or for collaboration.

Cons

Occasional bug with copy and pasting when items are grouped
Confusing to understand what guest privileges are when I want to share a Miro board with someone not on the license
Being able to frame a collection of other frames would be great for organization

Return on Investment

Hard to draw a direct line to positive ROI, but it definitely helps connect people when ideas can be visualized as they are discussed and tweaked

Collaboration

My organizations have experimented with various online whiteboard software, but Miro seems to be the most flexible for our needs and is relatively easy for newcomers to learn and use.

Figma

Miro seems a little less technical/designer-y, which is worse for creating designs, but better for the type of whiteboard collaboration the teams use the tool for.

Miro is best-suited someone who likes whiteboarding in a digital space and will review these findings and make live tweaks with team members or stakeholders.

Miro may be a poor replacement for presenting a polished PowerPoint to leadership depending on the audience, or using it simply to generate PDFs to attach to an email to send (although I appreciate that capability!).
