Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro for cross functional collaboration, note taking, roadmapping, research/data analysis, workshopping, prioritization etc. I use it for organizing my thoughts and artifacts. What it really works great for is team collaboration where an on going collaboration can be documented and iterated over time. I also use it to create my research roadmap and assign work to teammates. my team also uses Miro for creating mind maps or mental models etc.

Pros

  • Enable remote work collaboration
  • thought organization, grouping, thematic analysis enablement
  • Templates are great for the organization to share and re-use.
  • Great range of apps to use such as mind map, tables, diagrams etc.

Cons

  • linking miro boards or objects from one board to another
  • I wish there was some AI factors in this tool. things such as run automatic thematic analysis or run auto theming/grouping etc.
  • I also use Miro for creating my research roadmap. I wish in addition to Kanban it had a roadmapping feature/app
  • enabled/improved remote team collaboration
It is really a game changer. we do have teams all over the world. and we do need to collaborate and think together sometimes. Miro does a great job enabling this.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

I believe Miro was a bit intimidating at first in comparison to MURAL. I was hesitant and it took me some time to open up to Miro. I'm still not an expert in Miro use and I believe there are a lot to be enhanced. I do get lost in Miro boards sometimes, some boards get quite overwhelming making it hard to navigate on my own. I do appreciate Figma's "layers" or pages and I think maybe Miro could use something like that or maybe an automated table of content may be helpful. MURAL was to me less intimidating to start using. but not as sophisticated as Miro
Miro is very helpful for remote teams that need to collaborate and plan and make decisions together. It is also useful for individuals planning, research, analysis, mind mapping etc.
