Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Exchange
Microsoft Exchange is used by our organization to host and manage our mailboxes as well as a lot of our customers. It is deployed across our whole organization as a hosted server set up in multiple data centers. It address the business problems of having full control over how our email is set up and managed. We don't have to rely on another company to keep everything online.
Pros
- Managed by us
- Reliable
- Central location to host all client email
Cons
- We are responsible for upkeep
- If one thing goes down, it effects all of our customers
- Up to us to configure and deploy
- Control
- Reliability
- Ease of use
- Allows us to troubleshoot any issues rather than waiting on a vendor
- We have full access to set up our users whenever we need
- Fully customizable and can fit many different client needs
- Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365)
Microsoft Exchange differs from Office 365 mostly by having a server of your own to host everything. 365 requires you to fully rely on Microsoft to keep their services up and running. Having our own Microsoft Exchange environment allows us to dive in to any potential issues we come across without having to get Microsoft involved.
