The Microsoft Entra ID tool is used in the Azure cloud environment to create and manage user identities. The tool helps to facilitate the entire process of managing user identities and permissions, replacing the old on-premises Active Directory.

I've used Active Directory on premise a lot, identity management works very well, but the service is subject to problems that affect its physical location, such as power outages, which can be detrimental to professionals in other offices or who are working remotely.

I use Entra ID to manage identities within the Microsoft Office 365 environment itself and at the beginning of the service implementation it was connected to an Active Directory Domain Controller located on premise.
The main complaint from end users was regarding the mandatory use of multi-factor authentication, despite this, the implementation proved to be valuable as it helped to make the environment more secure and speeded up the resolution of problems related to access.
Microsoft Login ID was chosen for its ease of use and availability of access via any device. Unlike the old Active Directory, it has a low learning curve and is very intuitive for analysts who are using it for the first time.
