Overall Satisfaction with ion interactive
Our marketing department uses ion interactive to build microsites for campaign/product launches. It becomes a marketing tool for us, and a great resource for our agents and/or clients to find everything they need for that product/service at their fingertips. It also allows us to be in control over site logistics such as the date it goes live or updating the content.
Pros
- Ion interactive puts you in complete control of the creative. This removes the timely back-and-forth between the project managers and IT or external site designers, which means less work, fewer headaches and quicker turnaround times.
- Ion interactive has a whole gallery of templates categorized by the intended function of the design. If your project goal is to take clients on a journey that ends in a sale, it's so easy to pinpoint which template categories will be helpful. There are so many templates to choose from, and they're beautifully designed.
- Ion interactive is user-friendly. It's easy-to-use, and if you get stuck, there is a whole suite of educational videos that walk you through the capabilities.
Cons
- An 'undo' button would be helpful. While it's easy to get into your creative and change content, it's even easier to make a mistake that is hard (or impossible) to undo.
- Our team hasn't yet launched/promoted our creatives, but I know other teams have been able to capture some leads.

Using ion interactive
7 - Our marketing department uses ION. Project leads, copy-writers and designers all collaborate on ION interactive projects. The project leads look through templates to find a strategy that will work for a new site idea. Then the designers start with the template and customize it to fit the project lead's vision. The copy-writer enters content right in the site. The designer then adds the finishing touches and sends it to compliance for review.

- Getting a page started and ready for copy/initial design is quick and easy. Once the sections are place, our writers can instantly go in and add their content, and then designers can put the finishing touches on it.
- Making small edits is a really efficient process. I can go in and change a grammatical error or text change without needing a designer or IT.
- Deciphering the analytics takes a bit of time. There doesn't seem to be a clear definition of some of the data available and if you're pulling a report for someone more unfamiliar with the project it takes some explaining.
