Ofcourse, IBM Turbonomic has not only provided visibility into the Application Performance or their availability but also insights about related databases, servers, micro services, 3rd party dependent nodes etc. Due to its unified dashboard and events correlation capability our support teams are able to detect the problems and resolve them before large impact.
Unifying Infrastructure and Applications team is still a challenge for many IT organizations and Business Companies due to the fact that both the teams have different goals. However the gap of visibility between application and infrastrcuture fault has been reduced to some extent as IBM Turbonomic provides provides visibility not only in Application Performance but infrastructure as well so the Apps team are now aware whether the bottleneck is.
If I talk about in terms of Dollars then there is no major difference because even when we have now less dependency on physical DC or their infrastructure but still we need skilled resources to manage the applications, like architects, developers and admins. But the headache we had previously to manage on-prem infrastructure, and maintain the databases on regular basis has been reduced to almost zero.
