Overall Satisfaction with IBM Cloudability
We use IBM Cloudability for all our cloud financial management our use cases include, Exec. Dashboards, identifying runaway costs ,cost leakage analysis, cloud usage & consumption, Invoice validations and cost optimisation & recommendations and ROI reporting.
Pros
- The reports extracted from cldy provides Ease of analysis for any cost breakdown analysis (cost & usage)
- Self service feat. For end users in terms of dashboards and reports have made some of our stakeholders to get more cost aware on cloud spend.
- Accountability did go up wit couple of stakeholders when we started educating them sharing dashboards about the cost consumption.
Cons
- Introduce Font color codes in dashboards.
- Introduce more visualisations
- Increase the business dimensions cap in the reports from 10 - 15
- Introduce some more widgets n metrics for containers
- We leverage IBM Cloudability for all our cost optimisation opportunities that has resulted in meeting our KPIs for costs savings/avoidance. Approx.cldy has helped saving few hundred thousand dollars this year already.
Every cfm tool has its pros & cons. However, i feel cldy is getting more matured and evolved post ibm acquisition with turbnomics coming in to the game.
