I thought the experience I had with implementation was positive and the support during the process was very good.
The service has many applications and possibility for use. Its limitation is only by the individual users lack of use or needs
The Ustream enterprise solution is being used by our organization to deliver higher education content, organization related conference presentations from various speakers on many topics related to higher education, student projects and job experience, student produced television news stories and radio broadcasts, and commencements.

Pros

  • The support staff at Ustream have been very responsive to questions and addressing issues, professional service always, always really to help.
  • The Support documentation and how to videos have been very useful.
  • The Delivery Service has been very reliable and always available; simple to use.
  • There is a good number of third party products compatible with the service.
  • Feedback from our organization has been consistently positive.

Cons

  • Need additional methods to allow users to caption content such as allowing WebVTT files.
  • Reduce costs for users
  • Educate viewers
  • Allow students to watch and listen to their work
  • Share student work
I can't think of an area where it is less appropriate. The service is a great streaming tool for educational content and has allowed us to share important content throughout the state. Students' parents and relatives are able to see their son or daughters school work by watching a video stream from a distant city, state or country.
