Overall Satisfaction with Human Interest

Record keeper for company 401K plans. We experience good customer service and Human Interest responds quickly to email questions. Human Interest at the time only had excel spreadsheets and no formal presentation to be used with the client.

Pros

  • investment choices
  • fiduciary
  • communication
  • customer service

Cons

  • plan review
  • eliminate excel spread sheets
  • more detailed info away from excel spread sheets - join the 21st Century
  • assisted with a start up
  • not the best reporting
  • fees are good
Human Interest needs a better way to provide investment reviews and plan reviews. It has been difficult to take information from an excel spreadsheet and make a good presentation to the client. Most Record Keepers will provide a printed plan review with the company's progress, investments, participation, and more.
Human Interest is very good at reviewing investments and if there is a lagging investment - Human Interest will recommend a replacement and make the change for the client. This is a positive for the plan administrators and relieves some of their fiduciary exposure. To make changes in investments as a fiduciary - Human Interest excels in this area.

Good for start-ups and smaller companies. Human Interest is very cost-effective for small plans and also provides great fiduciary guidance on investments and is willing to make investment changes to meet fiduciary guidelines. Until Human Interest has better plan review reporting, large companies may not be a good fit.
