Overall Satisfaction with HireVue

HireVue is available across our division, to any and all search committees for interviewing purposes only. It allows hiring departments to conduct a more detailed and professional "first" interview (live or on-demand). We do not use HireVue for any other purposes: job postings, requisitions, resumes, etc.

Pros

  • Communication with evaluators and interviewees
  • Help guides and documentation
  • Features and interface

Cons

  • Feature request: admin users should be able to "log in as" other users. This allows more efficient troubleshooting
  • As admin, ability to see what positions each user has created or is involved with
  • Nearly all search committees take advantage of HireVue
  • CVirtual
HireVue is more robust and is a hands-on application. Pros: allows greater customization; Cons: more opportunity for user error when setting up an interview.

CVirtual is limited to recorded interviews only, and you need to contact a representative to set it up. Pros: you're in good hands and never have to worry about setting up an interview incorrectly. Cons: none
HireVue is great if your organization needs a variety of features and interview methods, such as live video interview or recorded (on-demand) interview. HireVue is not appropriate for organizations that are not great with technology or want to keep things simple.

When you talk about admins logging in as other users to allow more efficient troubleshooting - what troubleshooting are you referring to? We have a 24/7 support team that is available through chat, email and phone that are here for you at any time! Let me know what troubleshooting issues you have come across and I can assist you as well. I'm happy to put in a feature request, if you could provide me with a little more information on what you would like admins to be able to do. Admins can see who has created a position / who is the position owner, what users are team members, team admins, and evaluators, and see what others have rated and noted on interviews.
