Overall Satisfaction with GoTo Connect

GoTo Connect is being used by the company for flexible VoIP and messaging throughout our entire organization. It's our primary means of communication as it supports video conferences, messaging, calls, and organizing meetings and external webinars. It is often used for training seminars because of its great performance and ease of use. A great tool to use during the pandemic is to talk internally, to clients and suppliers.

Pros

  • Large number of participants in a meeting.
  • Simple and easy to use.
  • Great performance during screen sharing.
  • Quality of videoconferences.
  • Affordable.

Cons

  • Recording options can be better.
  • Startup time.
  • Business kept as usual without needing to go to the office (pandemic).
  • Easily make and track calls with customers/suppliers.
  • No need to invest in other hardware or software.
I wasn't involved in the deployment of GoTo Connect (formerly Jive), but as I recall from conversations with my colleagues, it was a good experience. Didn't have any unexpected issue or outcome.
GoTo Connect's call quality is one of the best features. Combined with a good internet service provider and connection, there are no issues, losses, or anything that can disrupt your call. In very few cases I had trouble connecting, but it was more attributable to the internet connection rather than GoTo Connect.

GoTo Connect (formerly Jive) is a great tool for enterprises where communication between employees is key. Large companies now face the problem of communicating internally and externally while doing home office. It lets you almost replace face-to-face interaction (never going to be fully replaced) and keep on business as usual.
