Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox
Dropbox is utilized as a central file-sharing service. My team and I are located at a headquarters building, but our technicians and foremen travel to different jobsites in different cities and states. Dropbox allows us to relay critical files to our employees and also provides a central location for document and progress updates from the field in order to be reviewed by management before final submission to our clients.
Pros
- Secure storage.
- Instant access to new uploads.
- Extensive levels of access or permissions for sensitive files.
Cons
- The ability to create and label multiple folders at one time would be nice in my opinion.
- I don't have hard numbers, but it certainly allows us to update our own systems and therefore update our clients about project progress in real-time.

Evaluating Dropbox and Competitors
Not Sure
- Cloud Solutions
- Integration with Other Systems
- Ease of Use
I didn't make the decision, but with most of our non-administrative operations being field operations - Dropbox helps us keep our clients informed about progress in the field without the need for delays in updates caused by travel to to jobsites.
