Costpoint for Government Contractors

Overall Satisfaction with Deltek Costpoint

Deltek Costpoint is used for project cost accounting, overall timesheet recording for employees and other project metrics tracking. It is customizable and also integrates to other programs but needs some learning. In our experience, the biggest issue we have with this program is that it is quite buggy, I think it is also very non intuitive in certain parts, search function isn't great.

  • Project cost accounting for managers
  • Time management

Cons

  • App stability in Windows
  • Integration with other apps
  • User interface and user friendliness
  • Search features
  • If a product frustrates your employees routinely, then it is NOT good for ROI.
  • In my experience, all downhill with it
Our top level manager forced Deltek Costpoint on us. It will be gone. Reviews can be positive as well as negative. In my opinion, Deltek Costpoint deserves to be shut down and shipped off to the sun.

With so many other products available in the market, Deltek Costpoint is actually NOT suited for project cost accounting. However, in my opinion, they started long ago so they are still taking money in govt contracts for a, in my experience, very mediocre buggy product.
