Overall Satisfaction with D&B Hoovers

Sales is our primary team using Hoovers. I'd like to see it more simplified when searching for companies & individuals. We spend several hours a day searching for data & many times the data is not current (i.e. left the company, took a different role, etc.). Creating watch lists is not helpful without receiving notification on what was updated.

Pros

  • Intent is terrific
  • Saving profiles
  • Customer service is very helpful & nice

Cons

  • AI is missing functionality that would be helpful
  • Simplifying the search process, too many buttons to click on repetitive searches
  • There's so much!! You pay X for ALL the services, but only end up using a portion of it.
  • Needs more onboarding & account management because there's so much available.
  • 10% increase in company research
  • 10% increase in individual research
Yes & no. Many times, the company doesn't exist in their database, especially if it's a small company. If I cannot find it in Hoovers, I have to resort to the internet, which leads to hours of research just to find the correct person. I use Bombora Intent because I can narrow down the industry.
No. Many times, there aren't any email, mobile, or correct LinkedIn links. My search fields are for company or for the first/last name of the individual. When using Bombora Intent, I narrow it down to the specific department & it still doesn't provide the most current information of the individuals at the company.
I find more current information with Apollo.io. I can integrate in their LinkedIn feature, sequencing, etc. With Kennected, it is pure sales related to LinkedIn.

Taper it to use with software (i.e. AI). It's good for basic searches, but I am not sure how else to use it. I called customer service/account manager to assist, but I just kept getting confused on how to use it efficiently. I need C-Suite level people & there is just not enough information about the C-Suite individual. Many times, there aren't any email, mobile, or correct LinkedIn links.
