Overall Satisfaction with Cube Planning
We currently use Cube to surface our information from our Finance systems (Intacct) and into G-Sheets where it can be spread out across our entire organization in a more targeted manner.
Pros
- Data transfer
- Reporting
- Forecasting (TBD)
Cons
- Learning curve could be hard for people unaccustomed to Excel.
- Ease of use for data surfacing.
- Forecast and reporting abilities.
- User dashboard is intuitive for Excel users.
- Quick ability to update information as it changes.
- Easy to use. We were using Adaptive Insights before which felt much more clunky and restrictive.
We switched to Cube because of its ease of use. Adaptive had way too many moving parts and was too restrictive for what we were trying to achieve. With a small Finance team, it was hard to have multiple people be power users of Adaptive vs Cube which was extremely intuitive for anyone who is a power Excel user.
