Program gives employees the ability to take charge of their personal information.
Overall Satisfaction with Ceridian Dayforce
HR uses Dayforce for payroll processing. Employees use the mobile app to clock in. Managers use it to interact with employee info, approve payroll, performance and track time away from work.
Pros
- Support team assigned to us are very knowledgeable of the program and offer great assistance.
- Dayforce Education is another great tool even to take refresher courses of modules currently using.
- WFM for clocking in on mobile app or computer and keeping track of our time away from work is a breeze.
- Year-end suggestions in advance are great reminders. The hotfix notes are ideal if you read them.
- Handling our PTO grant and accruals has been good.
Cons
- Mobile app should allow managers to approve payroll.
- Recruiting should put candidate offer letter in the employee file.
- In the recruiting module, we would like to add a logo that is on the job description to the Indeed feed.
- Pay Grades need to be made available to the employee profile.
- Processing payroll is much quicker.
- Employees' navigation in the system means they have control of what is entered. HR time is freed up answering questions.
- Time away from work is tracked and does not allow employees to take more time off than granted.
The tax updates ease the work of Payroll to not input the updated tax information. But, Wyoming is a problem with Worker's Comp and requires extra steps because the program does not recognize the rate change from year to year.
Annual limits are set by Ceridian not by our HR staff.
We do not use the scheduling. The recruiting module has added much saved time in responding to candidates quicker. When we have a new hire the information flows into HR record with ease. Entering compensation changes is a user-friendly process.
Having time tracking in the HCM program helps eliminates errors and gives more control of employees' time Away from work. Reports for director are more streamlined.

Ceridian Dayforce Support
Pros | Cons |

Quick Resolution Good followup Knowledgeable team Problems get solved Kept well informed Immediate help available Support cares about my success | Escalation required |
No - If support cannot help with our question how it is stated, we try to re-word it so that we get our help from support with out the premium support, or we rething our project to make something else work for us rather than the program added fees.
Yes - Wyoming worker's comp. No it took more than a year to resolve.
Our Benefits Administrator left and payroll needed to learn the benefit side of the program. Afeena Gafoor has been great support especially when we asked why our Age banding increase was not happening. She was able to walk us through a number of things that were set up with workarounds to correct and allow the program to do what it was designed to do.
